About Photos by Joe

A Passion for Photography

I got my first camera when I was 11. It was a cheap chunk of plastic with a fixed lens and a “sun” or “shade” selector. I spent the day running through my neighborhood, snapping photos. Looking at the prints a week later, I was hooked.

When I turned 16 I got a job, saved up, and bought my first “real” camera – a Canon AE-1. I still have it today, though I haven’t run any film through it in a very long time. Now it’s a digital world.

Over the years, I’ve progressed from snapshots to portraits, fine art, glamour, events, macrophotography, and more. And I’ll keep on taking photos as long as there is interesting stuff to shoot.
